Due to its geographical position, Croatian islands have a great climate and warm temperatures with pleasant winds that allow easy cruising for the most part of the year. Of course, the summer months are certainly the most appeasing and also crowded. However, if you want to avoid the islands when they’re flocked with tourists, the best time to sail to Croatia is between April-mid June and from September to mid-October. Do you need a license to rent a motorboat in Croatia?

Yes, you need a valid license to rent a motorboat in Croatia.

The Maritime Law requires boating and VHF radio licenses for operating boats in Croatian waters. Along with Croatian licenses, numerous international sailing certificates are also recognized. In case you or any of your crew members do not have the necessary certificates, we’ll be happy to find a great skipper for you. Just add a skipper as an optional extra to your booking. How much does it cost to rent a motoboat in Croatia ?

The cost of renting a motoboat in Croatia depends on many different factors, from type and size of the boat, duration of the trip, skipper fees etc. Most motorboats are chartered for at least a week, so you can check all the prices on our website.
However, additional expenses have to be taken into planning the whole budget: fuel tanks and mooring fees, and food and drinks you need on board. Additionally, you need to pay a local tourist tax, and final cleaning.
Every person on the boat has to pay a local tax for the number of days traveling. This is payable in cash or by card at embarkation at the marina. Final cleaning is an obligatory extra and is usually charged together with the charter price.
We provide the vessel with full fuel tanks and you must refill them before arriving back to one of our bases in Split, Slano or Rogoznica for check-out.
Important: fees will be applied if the boat is not returned with a full fuel tank. This applies to the fuel tanks onboard the vessel as well as the generator.

What is included?

The yacht charter is fully insured and we charge a refundable security deposit at the check-in. The franchise amount is the highest amount we can charge in case of any damage. But, we highly recommend getting additional travel insurance for your motoboat charter in Croatia to further protect your crew and belongings.
