The Bacvice Summer Cinema is an open-air cinema close to the famous beach that offers a run of new and classic films over a week or so at the end of June/early. It celebrates Mediterranean cinema, with screenings and workshops. JULY
July brings an array of vibrant music events to Split as Split Festival. It takes place in the Republic square from July 2nd to July 7th. It is undeniably one of the most famous music festivals in Croatia. Over the years, various domestic and foreign names, organizers, and locations have alternated, but good songs have always found their way to their listeners.
The Program of the 64th Split Festival:
- July 2nd, 2024: Split Blues Festival – Henrik Freischlader Band
- July 4th, 2024: TBF & HRT Jazz Orchestra – gala concert “Positive Attitude”
- July 6th, 2024: “What Do I Need Copacabana For” – Tea Trumbić’s jubilee
- July 7th, 2024: Final competitive evening of new original songs
But that’s not all! Following the 64th Split Festival, another event awaits you!
Ultra Europe! The festival is set to return to its spectacular home at Park Mladeži in Split, offering an immersive experience with state-of-the-art stages, sound, and lighting, from 12th to 14th July. Furthermore, Ultra Europe is a part of the global Ultra Music Festival family, celebrated for bringing together the biggest names in electronic dance music (EDM), alongside up-and-coming artists and thousands of music enthusiasts from around the world. This year the stage in Split will welcome some of the greatest names of the industry including: Adam Beyer, Armin Van Buuren, Boris Brejcha, Eric Prydz, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and Timmy Trumpet.
AUGUST
Last but not the least, Split Summer Festival (Splitsko ljeto). This annual cultural event takes place in Split, from 14 July to 14 August. The festival features a diverse program of performances, including theater, opera, ballet, music concerts, and art exhibitions. Events are held in historic venues such as the Peristyle of the Diocletian’s Palace, the Croatian National Theatre, and various open-air stages around the city.
