The rumors are true, Lagoon Catamarans have just announced a brand-new launch – the Lagoon 51. The new model offers smart layout options and is more sustainable than its predecessors. And here’s what we know about it.

The new sustainable Lagoon 51 has been created in cooperation with naval architects from VPLP Design, interior designers NAUTA Design, and exterior designer Patrick le Quément. In fact, these partnerships have lasted for decades and produced many unique multihulls.

Key features

Flybridge

The appealing flybridge on the Lagoon 51 is a great showcase of just how wisely Lagoon uses onboard space. It occupies the vast majority of the roof. At the front of the helm station, you can relax on two large sun pads. Behind the helm, there is a huge C-shaped seating area. This entertaining area is ideal for enjoying with your guests and spending some quality time.

On the other hand, the captain can navigate and maneuver the catamaran safely and with ease.

Extended transoms

To ensure better circulation, and enable safe and practical access from the docks, the new Lagoon 51 has large and wide transoms. And from there it’s only two small steps away from the cockpit. This solution makes it unmatched in today’s market.

The transoms in combination with the Tenderlift serve as an amazing balcony. Moreover, when at anchor, it becomes a large bathing platform. Dip your feet in the sea or take a swim, it’s up to you!

Forward cockpit

Easily access the beautiful space of the forward cockpit walking along the side-decks. There are many amenities to make your time here enjoyable and comfortable. For example, cup holders, coffee table, and sun protection. Relax and take in the mesmerizing view of the ocean, you will love it.

Interior

The impressive saloon features 360° vertical windows. This is due to the mast being stepped to the far end. Moreover, Alpi sand oak woodwork enhance the luminosity and feeling of space

Lagoon 51 comes in a few layouts, which are:

  • 4 cabins, 3 heads – Owner version
  • 4 cabins, 4 heads
  • 6 cabins, 4 heads.

Sustainability

XXL Solar panels options

Lagoon 51 is fully autonomous (except for the air conditioning) thanks to XXL solar panels on the roof. In fact, this technology provides more than 3400 watts of power for the on board appliances, and systems.

This feature also brings out just how brilliantly designed the boat is. The panels fit perfectly into the lines of the sustainable Lagoon 51 and don’t get in the way of with life and people onboard.

Sustainable commitments

Have you already read our blog about Groupe Beneteau’s commitment to the environment? Lagoon catamarans are a part of this group and together, they work on creating sustainable solutions.

Here are some of the things Lagoon 51 features:

  • wherever it is possible, hemp fiber replaces fiberglass together with partially biosourced resin
  • option to use recycled fabric in the upholstery
  • 100% ecological and biodegradable cleaning products
  • suggested Alpi wood is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

Of course, there are many more innovations in progress. We can’t wait to see them all come to life.

Connectivity – The Seanapps technology

Another innovation on the Lagoon 51 is the use of Seanapps technology. This will be the very first Lagoon catamaran equipped with it. So, what are the benefits? It will help you with the boat’s management and ease the maintenance. Scheduling maintenance operations and checking your fuel and battery charger levels is no longer a chore.
